  • This location is shown only to members

Hey, this is a group for those who would like to learn/practice Chinese, and also for Chinese speakers who would like to  learn/practise Swedish.

(It doesn't matter if you do not speak Swedish. You may still learn/practise Chinese with us.)

Everyone is welcome: beginners, amateurs and experts.

We'll start at 2:00pm.

This is a great opportunity to practice/learn more Chinese in a relaxed, friendly and informal atmosphere with native speaker.

Hope to see you soon!

Due to the seemingly high popularity of the event, I would like to send out a very simple survey (1 question only) in order to help organising the event. We will adjust the size of the meetup according to the needs and number of native speakers so it is very important for us to know what you expect.

Which of the following best describes your expectation or how you would like to participate in this meetup?

    1. I am native Chinese speaker and would like to have Chinese/Swedish language exchange.( What is your level of Swedish ?)

    2. I am native Chinese speaker and would like to help others through Chinese conversation section.

    3. I am not a native Chinese speaker. I would like to participate in Chinese/Swedish language exchange. ( What is your level of Chinese?)

    4. I am not a native Chinese speaker. I would like to participate in Chinese conversation section. ( What is your level of Chinese?)

    5. Others. (please specify)

I missed yesterday's meetup and won't be able to make it this week, either. I'm interested in coming the week after, though, and am mainly interested in improving my Chinese speaking and listening skills, so category 4 for me. My Chinese is HSK 2–3. I'm open to category 3 as well, but only as long as there's some structure to the meetup that keeps the learning/teaching ratio balanced. I've been thinking of joining these meetups for some time but have had a hard time choosing between this group and the Chinese conversation group at Stockholms universitet. Are you aware that they are held at the same time, Sundays at 2 pm?

Someone asked me about the other meetup. It turns out they've changed days to Saturdays, so they have a meetup today at 2 pm if anyone's interested: https://www.facebook.c...

Any chance of future Chinese/Swedish meetings having a larger venue?

We hope to expand the size of the meetup in the future but we would like to ensure a good native-speaker to non-native speaker ratio. Judging from last week RSVP, there will be a great chance that we can accomondate a bigger group in future events but I can't promise that as I will only adjust the RSVP if there are enough native helpers.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
