Don't miss the chance to create a 3D printing, laser cutting FabLab in Hackney, which is accessible to you. Support our Kickstarter campaign with a £20 donation and get a year's membership plus other goodies.
What's the plan?
SPACE is bringing affordable, accessible 3D printing, laser & vinyl cutting to Hackney in a planned FabLab, in its Mare Street MediaLab. These are some of the tools driving innovation and SPACE wants to ensure that they're available to all, especially artists and creatives. The FabLab will be open to members, year round and will host Silicon Hackney events / talks on the 'why' of digital technology and manufacturing.
How are we funding it?
Using Kickstarter we've already had great interest in the campaign. We need to raise £15,000 to kit out the FabLab with two 3D printers, a laser & vinyl cutter, soldering irons & more.
Most pledges so far are for £20, giving a reward of a years membership of the FabLab, amongst other things.
You can help with as little as £1 and we'll love you. Or for £1500, you'll receive one of 10, individual, 3D printed sculptures, donated to us by SPACE artist, Ryan Gander, as well as a host of other benefits.
