I'm an entrepreneur. Currently I'm the CEO of Loum. Along with my co-founders, we created this company with a mission to help people find freedom on the internet. I have a background in marketing and design, although have a degree in international relations (and if not for my love for creating things, I would probably be now in an embassy somewhere in Africa). When I was a kid I was a webpirate.
Loum is a hyper local social service for you and people in the communities you belong, like colleges, offices or neighborhoods. You can share and discover local news, events, opinions and questions that matter.
Currently Loum is available for the iPhone at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/loum/id687066414?ls=1&mt=8
Rudy Rigot's mission in life is to help people be able to manage their content in very flexible ways, headache-free. He's the developer evangelist of prismic.io, working on new ways to approach the issue, and getting feedback from communities about these new approaches. In a previous life during which he had to battle with CMSs, he was a regular speaker and writer in Europe about tech and design topics, and is brand new to San Francisco!
prismic.io is a web software you can use to manage content in any kind of website or app. API-driven, it is the easiest way to integrate your content with no technology or design constraint. It is also the easiest way for content writers to edit, preview and plan updates.
Hi, my name is Arlan. I am a 14-years-old entrepreneur. This past July I came to Silicon Valley from Chicago to dive into the tech, startup, and dev communities. Originally I immigrated from Kazakhstan to the United States. I hope to use, create, and experience the great things that Silicon Valley has to offer so that I could one day make my startup public. I currently developed a photo-editing iOS app called Instaffect. It has been released this past week and already has about 350 users.
"Instaffect is a mobile application that allows users to take a picture or upload one from their library and edit that photo with different tools such as brushes, text, brush styles, and colors. After you are finished with your creation you can simply share it with all your friends in a click of a button! You can create anything that you can think of, such as a meme, a news piece, and even something that is completely original that has not been seen before. You can show your creativity and originality to your friends or use the app for productive purposes like quick photo editing or highlighting document images and sending it to someone for feedback.By the way, it’s free. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/instaffect/id716932890?ls=1&mt=8"
I'm the CEO of Cycle. Cycle is a next generation web browser that is built for cloud based software and mobile. We have a great set of investors and advisors that include Boost VC, Tim Draper, and Scott McNealy.
We are on the verge of a very big release, and would love to give a demo in front of a large audience. You can learn more at http://investors.cycleapplications.com/ or download at getcycle.com.
Ms. Dao Nguyen founded HowAboutADate.com in 2011 because she wanted to break out of the tedious labor of trying to find "the One." Finding no intriguing dating sites focused on having an enjoyable, light-hearted dating experience, she developed her own fresh and exciting vision of connecting with people through activities.
Dao graduated from the University of Virginia, School of Engineering, with a Computer Science degree and has since excelled in her career as a Senior Software Engineer/Architect. She has a wealth of technical expertise and a wide range of industry experience. She originally grew up on the East Coast, but came to the San Francisco Bay Area many years back. Surrounded by business culture and inspiring entrepreneurial activity, it fueled her own entrepreneurial spirit.

HowAboutADate.com is a new dating website based on activities, not profiles. Founded in 2011, it is design to correct the hardships and downfalls of other dating websites. Where most existing dating websites focus on complicated matching algorithms and/or lengthy user profiles, HowAboutADate.com focuses on simply finding a date for the activities one enjoys. 1. Post an activity for two 2. Read your replies 3. Choose someone & go out! Go do what you love... and love will find you. We also organize local events and workshops and partner with local businesses... all to empower singles and enrich the singles community.
Amelia Bennett and Michael Campesino
Amelia Bennett is a high school senior that likes to shop, play lacross, and terrorize her father by beginning to date. She's planning to attend the University of Florida next year to study marketing or marine biology.
Michael Campesino is an entrepreneur with a full time job problem. He does enterprise hardware and software sales for a living, dabbles with real estate development on the side, and keeps a running list of app, web, and business ideas. He worked for IBM for 7 years, at an IBM VAR for 3 and has been buying and renovating real estate for 5 years. He has the fortunate luck that his little cousin Amelia (17) had a great idea which hilariously trumped any of his own and while they've been working hard to get the app to this point... they haven't stopped laughing since.
