Weekend Only! - No Need To Take Time Off From Work!

This 1-day workshop will teach you how to develop a network-connected mobile application that interacts with REST web services. Using the URL Loading system, data serialization classes and concurrent background operations you will add cloud-based persistence to the Count'em Up app.

Through a series of hands-on exercises you will build responsive user interfaces by moving tasks onto background threads, learn to coordinate user interface and network operations and perform asynchronous network requests. You will interface with REST web services to parse json data and perform GET, PUT, POST, DELETE operations.

In order to complete this course you will be provided with the source code to a back-end web serivce that supports the Count'em Up app. This service is written in Python using the Bottle framework.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
