Swift is the future of iOS and Mac OS X application development! Join me for a short introduction to the new Swift programming language. Apple introduced Swift at WWDC 2014 as a modern replacement for Objective-C. This presentation is designed to provide you with a basic understanding of the language.

Here is a link to the video recording of this presentation. It is currently marked as private on YouTube due to restrictions in the iOS 8 developer license from Apple. (No screenshots permitted to be published.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLH8tEcvEXg

If you attended the GoToTraining session the link will work for you, as you have been granted access on YouTube. Others will have to wait until the NDA is lifted.

I was able to see the YouTube video fine but only after updating Adobe Flash. If you don't get the Flash update message you might try explicitly going to Adobe to make sure you have the latest on all browsers. And/or try a different browser, paste the link in directly, https://www.youtube.co...

I also confirmed what Bennett suggested that you have to be signed in with the same account as the GoToTraining. I used my iPad which had a different login but after I changed to the same account it let me in. :-)

I've only just started in programming so it was useful to learn as many basics as possible. For beginner like me it's a steep learning curve, but this intro was very interesting and gave me some good ground works

apologies if this is slightly off topic, but what tool do you people use to create mock ups of your apps? I want to knock up some screens etc and not sure which tools are the best

Lunch time is perfect for me and my team, I hope it stays the same but whatever works for most people is best.
