    Regarding csrf, looks like angular and express both support it out of the box, but need to be configured to match token names.

      I used to use the method described in that blog, but in my own code I change step 2. I tell Angular to change its CSRF header name with this line of code in my app config: $httpProvider.defaults.xsrfHeaderName = 'X-CSRF-Token';

      I have a WordPress project for anyone who is interested and available. The client is looking to have a product gallery / store added to a pre-existing site. Can probably be done with just a few plugins and some styling.

    Here's a nice, clear video on Angular: "AngularJS Fundamentals In 60-ish Minutes"

    We're also starting a project on Angular, Node, and Express (+ Firebase) so I'll be interested to compare notes!

    Interesting, never used angular nor node, so it might be a good start. Or should I read a little about node before coming to the meeting? :)

      I probably won't spend too much time on nodejs, just some of the basics. I am hoping to have some examples so people can follow along and mess around with the code at their own leisure. It should also be noted that I am going to be using nodejs with the Express framework (makes things a little easier). If you have free time and want to learn about before the presentation I'd try to find some node+express getting-started guides

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
