"I have been x-c skiing in Summit County, CO for 30 years. I go for a week in January, and I would be interested in helping to get together a small group of skiers/snowshoers for January 2013. I am a strong skier, mid-60s. I know the National Forest trails around Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, etc. I also know a few condo rentals. If you are interested, .... and I will follow with next steps."

Hi Jack, I've occasionally joined a meetup--mostly in 2010-11. I also go to Colorado every January. Do you think there would be any interest in a x-c ski/snowshoe trip to the Summitt County area? It's a long story but I'm only available to X-ski on Thursday or Wednesdays. I live close to the Great Brook Farm X-Ski Center and I have often hiked, skied and snowshoe'd there. So if you get any other takers let me know.

Happy New Year! Several people like the idea of a beginners' x- country ski group that I posted. Since it was my idea, do you want to assign an event host (such as me)? Since I'm such a beginner, it would be really nice if it was co-hosted by someone getting back into the sport! If wishes could be horses...

There's a snowshoeing track in Weston. Also, I'm going snowshoeing in Wachusett Mt. w/ the Boston Ski and Sports Club(BSSC.com) on the 27th. I paid $60 as a member, but not sure what the non-member price is. Maybe we can carpool there. I live in Brookline.
