Presentations and Panel Discussion

Greetings Mobile Enthusiasts!

The next meeting of the South Florida Mobile Entrepreneurs is scheduled for Wednesday, June 29th  at 6:30PM.  If you were at the last meetup, you know that we had an excellent turnout of technologists, strategists, business innovators, marketers and advertisers.   The upcoming meetup is shaping up to be even better, with two accomplished mobile entrepreneurs taking the stage:

Presentation #1:  User Orientated Development

Presenter:

Ralph Tavarez / Collective Bytes  -  With over 20 years experience in the technology industry, he has a track record of bringing forth innovative solutions to companies for companies such as Texaco, Morgan Stanley, Viacom and global cell phone distributor, Brightstar. Ralph also has prior experience with startups. His first experience was as CTO of Ritmoteca.com, a Latin digital music download business. His other primary experience was as COO of Submarino.com, the Amazon of Brazil that is currently public on the Brazilian stock exchange. His key strengths lie in envisioning creative products and solutions that approach the problem with his unique point of view. One such example is Open Gesture, an innovative desktop replacement application for Android. Ralph is also a recent winner of the startup camp mobile edition hosted by Semantic Seed and develops mobile applications for various customers.

Ralph will be discussing some of options available for bringing a new application idea to life.  He will also discuss Rheti, an amazing project he's been working on - a simple, intuitive way for anyone to create Android apps from their phone. Rheti is one of the latest startups to come out of Incubate Miami, and one of my personal favorites.

Presentation #2:  RoadScout Mobile Tracker

Presenter:

Nathaniel Pool / RoadScout -  Mr. Pool is a serial entrepreneur and investor with a successful background in founding, building, and driving multimillion-dollar, high-tech companies to significant success. In 1994, he founded Q-Networks, where he grew the start-up Internet Service Provider at an annual rate of over 250%, into one of the Midwest’s largest and most influential companies, ranked by cNet as one of the nation’s Top-5 ISPs. Since his move to south Florida in 1999, he has launched a number of startups ranging from a digital TV and broadband company, to an early-stage seed-funding company. He currently serves on the Young Entrepreneurs Council for the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business at Nova Southeastern University.

Mr. Pool will be discussing his latest venture, RoadScout - a mobile tracking application built for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, which allows businesses the ability to track and manage their mobile workforce, anywhere in the world.
