Are you brand new to Irish dance, or looking to improve your skills? Are you free on Thursday nights in San Francisco? Then come to the Irish Cultural Center for fun and friendly dance lessons!
Lessons are held at 7:30p every Thursday except the first Thursday of the month. They are taught by one of several local instructors and typically attended by 10-20 other dancers.
No prior dance experience of any kind is necessary.
You don't need a partner -- there will always be one available -- but feel free to bring one along. You can wear any clothes and shoes that you're comfortable dancing and sweating in, although it's recommended that women avoid wearing heels.
Fun fact: Many of your dance classmates will be going to the Plough and Stars Pub (116 Clement St) for another few hours of dancing after lessons end at 9:30!
This week's class will be taught by Mary. No specific dances were announced ahead of time, so they will be decided at the start of lessons.
