Saturday Irish Dancing and Music "Hoolie" (San Francisco)

One Saturday a month, our group comes up to San Francisco for a night of Irish music and dance at the United Irish Cultural Center! Join instructor Michael Murphy and 15-25 other dancers for a fun, laid back evening known as a Hoolie.

Live traditional Irish music will be played by one of our wonderful bands starting at 7:30pm. Dancing will begin at 8:30pm and will include a variety of ceili, set, and waltz dances. You can bring your own dance partner, or just come by yourself -- there's always someone to dance with!

There is no cover charge, but patronage of the bar or restaurant is appreciated.

This event is hosted by the Cooley-Keegan San Francisco branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the international organization dedicated to promoting Irish culture.

Was really looking forward to this, but I came down with a bad cold... Hope I can make it to the next one!

Just wondering....is this possibly a kid friendly event? Might have to cancel if not. Child care issue :-)

Hoolie nights tend to fall on the third Saturday of every month, but I don't receive confirmation until a few days before the scheduled date, so it's sometimes up in the air.
