I want to maintain a certain level of fluency, but I am not perfect.
All of my grand parents were italian and I have only been able to pursue the language over the last few years. A trip to ITaly indicated how much more I had to learn before I return.
Someone else will have to judge my level of competency. I do read the Italian news paper and writre to friends in Italy though I am sure at times my italian sounds a little like Tonto speaking to the Lone Ranger.
Le Quatro Giornati di Napoli, book?, many italian dishes, some I only know by the names my family used. Music: both contemprary and classic songs as well as Classical. City: Hard to say, I have never been north of Rome but loved all I saw south of Rome.
Ciao sono Ronaldo De Luco e capisco un po di italiano ma piacerei practicare con altri. Hi I am Roald De Luco, I understand a little italian but would like to practice with others. At least I think that's what I said!
Because you're always warmly welcomed. Friendship in Italian and English. Anyone who needs a hug should join us. We had a fantastic group and some wonderful new faces. Everyone was as if they were long lost friends. I did get to exchange some Italian with just about everyone, and we have new and interested students. I always find many people very interested in tutoring and in the classes others know of. The group is always fun.
