I would say that I'm at a solid intermediate level. When I first joined this group a couple of years ago all I could do was listen to the others, but with lots of study at university and at home and with the help of a lot of native Italian speaking friends, I have improved my level a lot and now I can speak quite confidently.
I've been in Perugia and also in Northern Italy in the Dolomites. I don't know where my favorite place is yet. I intend to go back and explore much more :)
I would like to continue coming to meetups and participating and making friends. Now that I have improved my level, I feel that I can help beginners as well if they have questions. I've also posted some learning resources here, for those who are interested: http://www.meetup.com/italian-504/messages/boards/thread/8940108
My name is Annette and I'm a university student studying Italian and German. I love languages and getting to know the people who speak them.
You get to meet really interesting people from all over the world and learn about the Italian culture in Edmonton. And of course, practice and learn the Italian language!
