Seattle's Little Italy Tour

Ciao!

I was thinking this might be good for our group.  Please let me know your thoughts.  If you are interested, please email me, post your answer on the webpage and/or RSVP yes or no.  There is no date or time until I see how much interest our members have and how big of a group we can have for our tour.

The good news that this tour is half off for 6 days on Living social, starting today.  Normally $59, you pay only $26 for a 75-minute (an hour & 15 min) food tour of Seattle's Little Italy tour.  Below is the Living social link and the Seattle's Little Italy tour link.  Please let me know your thoughts!

Note: The living social is still going on last time I checked.  Please click on the link to see if is still going.  Please purchase if you haven't.  If you didn't purchase it and the deal is over, Luigi is willing to offer the same special price.  Just bring the amount to him in person the day of the tour.  We discussed and 11am was decided. He said the tour will take around 2 hours.

Grazie e presto!

Allison

"Immerse yourself in gourmet food, fun, family and tradition, join us for The Little Italy gourmet food /cultural tour.

Let us welcome you with the Italian tradition of Homemade Roman meatballs accompanied by Prosecco at Il Chiosco, neighboring Café Bengodi. Next, you'll learn the family secrets behind making pizza dough while you enjoy Italian beer and a "Slice". Making fresh pasta is our forte, so let's get a taste and the recipe, drink some Sangiovese wine and see pasta being made at Al Boccalino. To complete your Italian excursion we stroll to Café Umbria for a cool, sumptuous Affogato, creamy gelato with a shot of espresso poured over.

Our tour lasts about 1 hour 15 minutes, rain or shine, and starts at Il Chiosco right next door to Café Bengodi. Please join us for our Slice of "Little Italy". You are family and so are your taste buds!"

I so enjoyed meeting everyone yesterday at the Little Italy Tour! Beautiful sunny day in Pioneer Square and our Little Italy introduced by our tour guide Luigi! As my dad would always say...good wine, good food, a few friends....La Dolce Vita!
    Looking forward, Denise

I am sorry to miss you both! If you like I can get a small group so you can still do it another day. Deborah and Alison, please let me know via email what day(s) you are available (if you like) so I can plan a smaller group. Grazie!

Another group I am in is doing this, too, so I have to change my RSVP. Have a wonderful time!

as for dates, how does july 20th sound? that's on a saturday. I am open to other dates in july or august. Just let me know. Grazie!

  • Allison

Anyway, enough of that. The groups can be as large as 20-25 people and Saturday is available from 11am-4pm. For those who can't make it on a Saturday, please let me know like Alison C. mentioned and if enough people are interested, I can have on a weekday and a weekend. I will most likely be on the weekend tour myself. However, it is no trouble to create a weekday tour for those in our meetup.

I talked to Luigi, who is the owner, today. Before I spoke to him, I thought it was just a small section that had a lot of little Italian places to go to in one area of Seattle. It wasn't official. However, when I spoke to him, he mentioned recently the Mayor came to visit his restaurant and named it officially Seattle's Little Italy. For those who might feel kinship to NY's Little Italy, I understand. However, keep in mind it is a different city and a different experience. If you ask someone from Seattle or New York how different Seattle is from New York is (and vice versa), they could tell you it is different.

    Thursday afternoon would be ideal!

  • Joe

Fairly new here and didn't realized that there was an Italian section in town!

  • kay m.

It depends on the date and time chosen as I will be out of town for several weeks soon. Thanks

  • Mo

We are interested, but it depends on date and time. Would prefer daytime tour, think it would be safest. Or am I paranoid?

    June 19, 2013

    • Allison

It's not paranoid. However, we will go as a group so if it is early to mid-evening, it will be a safe in numbers. I'll see if an afternoon tour is available, esp. if our members prefer it. Grazie for your thoughts!
