Remix South 2012

A two day conversation bringing designers & developes together to learn the latest in UX, Web, Mobile, Metro, and Future Tech.
On Friday, the UX Track features a Professional Sketching Workshop from Jason Alderman and an Interaction Design Master Workshop from IxDA co-founder Dave Malouf.
Saturday includes five tracks of sessions, culminating in a keynote from Bill Buxton, Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research and the author of Sketching User Experiences.

I really enjoyed Remix South. I learned a lot about user experience and the concepts and skills needed to really improve my work. On the first day, I felt that the sketching workshop was easier to understand and more accessible. I feel that it would have been nice to have more hands-on work on the second day though I enjoyed the presentations, particularly "The Motivational GPS", "Prototyping and Scenarios for a Touch First World", and "Conceptual Design". Overall, it was a great informative, educational, and fun experience and I will gladly come back again.
