The NYC Japanese Language January Meetup - 日本語で遊ぼう、Japanese Improv Workshop

Happy New Year!

This will be the second Japanese Language Improv Workshop and the first one in 2013! The workshop will be for beginners and intermediate learners, including those who have never studied Japanese. The fee for the workshop is $10. If you are not participating, there won't be a fee. All members are welcome to be in the audience.

6:30 to 7:30 pm - Japanese Language Improv Workshop (private room)

7:30 pm - regular social mingling (front lounge area)

Mari Miyamoto, facilitator

She was born and raised in Kumamoto, Japan. Based in New York City. (http://cccjapan.weebly.com) In 2007, She established 'English Drama Group' and 'Improvisation Group' in her home town and produced a various workshops such as English Drama Workshop for English Learners with an instructor invited from Tokyo. In Spring 2009, she moved to New York City to learn acting in HB Studio. While in the school, she was taught by Rochelle Oliver, Michael Blake, and Michael Beckett. She was the recipient of a HB Studio Rose Arrick Memorial Scholarship. And also she was taught Improv Coaching Method by Samantha Jones. She currently conducts Japanese Improv Workshops for Japanese learners, Improv Coaching for corporations in NYC, and English Improv Workshop for the English learners in Japan when she is back to her home town.

For those who are new to the J-Meetup and who haven't paid the semi-annual fee for $5 for last six months, please pay it by Paypal or in person during the event.
