What's your favourite Japanese food?

Still exploring, but i am a huge sushi fan

How did you become interested in Japan and its language?

Is somewhat similar to my language, (shona) and I love learning about the culture and people. I grew up on a lot of Japanese entertainment, and in highschool I got really serious about watching anime, and then later that turned into a love for manga. I started teaching myself some Hiragana, and I hope that I can continue learning.

What is your level of proficiency with spoken and written Japanese?

written proficiency is 0, but i can definately understand basic Japanese, catching a few words, in spoken Japanese.

What do you hope to achieve through your membership with this group?

Immersion is really important, in learning a culture and it will be good to be in an environment where I can be around real people with a passion for learning and sharing. I would also like to be of assistance in helping other people learn English from a 2nd language standpoint.

Hello everyone, I have always been a big fan of Japan, and the Japanese language. At one point I took it to teach myself japanese, but I could only go so far by myself. Community is very important, and it is great to join one.
