Put it on your calendar!! It is time to say good bye to 2012! In Japan, the ending and beginning of each year are the most important events of all. Bōnenkai (忘年会 literally "forget the year gathering") is a Japanese drinking party that takes place at the end of the year, and is generally held among groups of co-workers or friends. The purpose of the party, as its name implies, is to forget the woes and troubles of the past year, usually by consumption of large amounts of alcohol. That does not mean you have to drink at all, but we would like to try to meet as many members as possible at this occasion. We are gathering at Saketini in Mesa. It is a great place we found last year that holds a large group. They have both English and Japanese Karaoke. It is only $5 per person for the karaoke room, and they seem to have pretty good food selections including sushi, soup noodles, teriyaki, katsu, etc... Happy hour prices only last until 6PM so come on time at 5PM to get the best prices on food and drink! The party ends at 8PM. Call Saketini for direction if you get lost[masked]
Looking forward to seeing you all!
