Calligraphy Meditation Class

Our member, Nae from Tao Healing Center in Chandler would like to introduce you to the moment of self awareness through her calligraphy meditation class.

Japanese calligraphy was influenced by, and influenced, Zen thought. For any particular piece of paper, the calligrapher has but one chance to create with the brush. The brush strokes cannot be corrected and even a lack of confidence will show up in the work. The calligrapher must concentrate and be fluid in execution. The brush writes a statement about the calligrapher at a moment in time. At the same time, the soft brush stroke will show you the state of your mind.

In this class, you are free to draw anyway you want to. It does not have to be proper Shodo  (Janapese calligraphy). Try to draw with your heart this time.

Tao Healing Center is a non-profit organization.
$10 -$15 donation is suggested for this class.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
