"Let's learn Japanese" lessons

  • Feb 11, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

On Mondays our members Shoko and Ikuyo have volunteered to guide us through Japanese lessons!

Location is at McD's on Camelback and 16th St. It has a quiet area and should be a good atmosphere for lessons. All levels are welcome, and even if you are a native speaker (or near native!) you can join in on the fun.

You know you want to communicate better in Japanese! This is a way to do it inexpensively with native speakers! Then we can really make our group even better when we have our meetup in JAPAN!

We chip in for $5 each per hour for the volunteers. I will do my best to keep arrangements current (location, etc.) and give you contact information. Feel free to contact us or leave comments/suggestions. smile

Note:  There are some regulars who don't always sign up so there may be attendees even if none is listed.  If not you may get a one-on-one lesson! :-)

Is the meetup for just an hour or do people trickle in as time passes?

Hi Terry! Welcome to the group! Actually, I'm not sure of the answer to your question. I think it is about an hour, possibly a little longer. I'm not sure Shokoko or Ikuyo monitor the site too much, so not sure if they will see your question. I would just try it once and show up on time and then ask them how it usually goes.

I've been 10-15 minutes late before. It's very casual conversation, come when you can! Last week we have 10-12 members there.
