For a non-native speaker, I was pretty advanced at my peak at the end of college. It's been years since I really used my Japanese, so until I jump back into it I'm not sure how much I've forgotten and how much will come back to me, but I'd love to find out! *Update* I have downgraded myself to intermediate :( after attempting a nihongo dake kaiwa, but am inspired to brush up on the skills that are still in there somewhere...
EVERYTHING. It's my second home (even though I haven't been back in years).
I lived in Tokyo from age 10-18, and then went to Nagoya for a year-long study abroad in college. I was fortunate to travel much of the country (and the world!) when I was living there.
Hi! I am half-Japanese and also a TCK (third culture kid) who lived in Japan for the second half of my childhood and went to the American School in Japan for 8 years. Although I'm American, I have strong roots with Japan and its culture.
