Japanese Fun Fest!

Bring something to sit on during the movie!  It's an outdoor event.  I'm creating a free outdoor event for both the traditional and modern Japanese culture and socializing for 2 Meetup groups: this group and International Multicultural Community.  There will be a bouncy castle for kids under 4 yrs old.  Cosplay fans, kimono fans are encouraged to dress up.  Or, whatever else Japanese you like go for it.  I welcome everyone's input on more ideas, performance, presentation, and so forth.  I want this event to present both old and new aspects of Japan.  The event is family friendly.

6PM-8PM

1) Mini Japanese class and the info on my group trip to Japan by me

https://www.facebook.com/LetsGoToJapanATX

2) Tea ceremony w/ Rhonda Rolf

3) Presentation on the history of rice in TX and sake making by the president of TX Sake Co., https://www.facebook.com/txsake

4) Presentation/introduction on Zen and the group Austin Otaku.

https://www.facebook.com/AustinOtaku?notif_t=fbpage_fan_invite

5) Okinawa dance performance by the Setsuko Kuniyoshi Ryukyu Dance School.  We'll be serving Okinawan donuts called Sata Andaggee. They will also be performing on Sat, 6/8 at TX Folklife 2013 in San Antonio, TX so be sure to check them out!

Sounds like fun! Would you like me to bring a small DJ setup? I have a small J-Pop, anime and K-Pop collection but mostly play electronic dance music and some 80s stuff... I'd just need a couple tables, a chair and a power outlet.
