Intermediate Class

みなさん、こんにちは。I teach private lessons here in Austin and have been hosting the conversation meetings for over a month. After I started offering a beginner class I started to hear some requests for an intermediate class. So, I've decided to offer a 1 hour long small class for the intermediate level, too. Not sure if you're in the intermediate level? If you think you are no longer a beginner, this class is for you.

In this class we can look at some of the things you're currently working on in your own textbook or some questions you may have from watching anime (bringing questions is a great idea). You're welcome to bring your own books/study materials. I can also teach you some new grammatical structures from my lesson plans, vocabulary, particles, and work on pronunciation as well. Basically, the idea is to cover and to strengthen the aspects that we don't get to work on at the fast-paced conversation meetups. If you like, please send me your email and I'll be happy to send you some materials.

The cost is $10 per person upon arriving. Cash or check.

1. black and red pens
2. paper
3. audio recorder (smart phone will do)
4. a cushion (if you don't like sitting on the hardwood floor for an hour)
5. clipboard or lap board to write on (if you like)
6. $10 payment

If you want me to send you study materials, please send me your email address. We'll use them in the class. In the comment section please share with us what you're currently working on and/or wanting to improve so I can better prepare. I probably have some of my lesson plans that fit your current level. If you have access to a color printer, you can print them out (they MUST be printed out in color). If you'd like that, send me your email address. If you don't have access to a color printer, please share with us. Someone should be able to print it out for you.

It is at my apartment. No gate code. PLEASE KEEP OFF THE GRASS when you walk from the parking lot to my place! My place is on the second floor in the building #9. If you get there after 3:30PM, please come in without knocking. We'll sit on the hardwood floor so bring cushions if you like.

Park anywhere.

It was a good first class. Amanda san stayed from the beginner class, and it turned out great for both the intermediate and the beginner. The homework is a daily journal entry. We'll share and use that in the next class as a study material. 皆ありがとう!

My mother in law is coming into town this day. Also, what group would you suggest I join? I lived in Japan for 17 years so I'm rather fluent and can read/write up to maybe a 5th grade level. I'm not looking for a class to be taught but more of a social speaking group.

Thanks. I'll try to make it one of these days. Seems like Sats are always so busy with the kids' school activities. I'm looking forward to going though!
