While I was in Japan I learned to play the shakuhachi, a traditional bamboo flute. Given that I only studied for about a year and a half I'm no virtuoso, but I would really like to keep up my playing. Does anyone in Austin knew of a player here willing to give lessons, or of any traditional music ensembles that might be looking for a player....?
