BG Japan Language Group

Dear Members:

As a few of you are aware, we had our first meeting in December, with the idea that we would schedule another meeting in late January. While I had hope to schedule this meeting, I have had some serious family medical issues which have arisen since the initial meeting. I have given this matter a lot of thought, and while I would really like to keep this group going, since there is clearly a lot of interest and it just got started, due to the nature of this medical problem it would appear that I am simply not going to have the time needed to devote to the group, nor likely to attend the meetings myself.

Therefore, I am sending this email out with a dual purpose. Number one to inform people that I can no longer be the group organizer and that I am unable to schedule any further meetings. And number two, that if anyone is interested in taking over as group organizer they are more than welcome to do so. There are already quite a few people signed up for this and the previous Japanese language group, so all it would take is setting up another meeting and the new organizer would likely find one or two more people who could assist in running the group - or at least that had been my intention when I started the group.

I thank those who showed up for the first meeting, and I give my sincere wishes to everyone that this group continues in some form or another, as there is clearly a need for it based on the number of people who have signed up.

Take care, and have a happy and safe new year in 2008!
Akemashite Omedetoo Gozaimasu!
