Tanabata event at the Children's Museum of Houston

I haven't received confirmation, but a Japanese Cultural presentation is being scheduled at the Children's Museum of Houston.

There will be a presentation on Tanabata (celebrated on 7/7) as well as a Japanese traditional dance and other cultural activities such as Origami.

Here's a brief description from last year's event:

More details to come!

Quick update on this event.

It looks like the event will feature the following:

Writing Tanzaku (wish cards), Origami, Kamishibai and Coloring

A Japanese Dance is also schedule for performance around 12:15.

The event is geared towards kids, but anyone interested is more than welcome to attend.

I think you have to pay the general admissions fee to enter.

hi, Akira. I called Museum to confirm the details. However, the operator told me the event is not on the schedule and I cant find any information on the interent either. Are you sure that they will have the event this year too? Just want to make sure.

I saw an email a few days ago regarding the plans for the event, but like you said, I haven't seen anything publicized yet. Will let everyone know as soon as I get any "official" notice!
