Update on the Charity Tea Ceremony:

Invitation to the Charity Tea Ceremony

Heat wave is slowly but surely easing here in Houston, enabling us to enjoy the subtle touch of autumn breeze in the air.

Japanese Educational Institute of Houston (JEIH) and Showing Japan have once again joined together to hold our third Charity Tea Ceremony. We would love you to come and celebrate the transition of beautiful season with us by having delicious green tea and sweets in our traditional Japanese setting.

We will also have our popular bake sale. So please join us! We look forward to serving you! All proceeds will go to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

Date: Saturday, October 12th 2013

Time: 12:00 to 4:00PM (four sessions, every hour at 12, 1, 2, and 3:00PM)

Place: Japanese Educational Institute of Houston (at Westchester Academy)

901 Yorkchester, Houston TX 77079

*Donation box for American Red Cross Disaster Relief will be placed at the front desk. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

I was not sure if I would make it but glad to slip in for the last demonstration. All of the Japanese sweets I tried were really good. We need a good Japanese Bakery in town soon!

Sounds interesting. I won't know whether I can attend until closer to the date. There are so many weekend events happening in October!

I will have to re-confirm, but my understanding is that there is no event fee. They will be accepting donations and I ask that anyone who attends donate some amount.
I unfortunately won't be able to attend this event due a conflict...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
