what is your favorite Japanese word(s)?

No kanji? Curses. Well, sho ga nai is my favorite phrase.

what brought you to Houston?

My husband. Who is now an ex. But I'm still here.

What made you interested in learning Japanese?

I'm fascinated by the phoneme-pair base. It's just different enough to be interesting, without so being different as to be scary (like tonal Chinese). Then once I got into it, I found it made so much sense, and I've enjoyed picking up what I know so far.

What is your current Japanese level?

I've been trying to learn Japanese for several years now. It's getting to the point where I need interaction with other speakers in order to progress, though. Hopefully I can learn from you guys!
