Nihongo de Asobou

Let's have dinner at Jason's Deli on Fowler...in Japanese. No English will be spoken amongst the group. We'll all have to muddle through as if we were in Japan. This will be a fun way to practice and improve.

It can be very hard for those of us who don't live with a native speaker to find practical ways to use Japanese. So with a little discipline, we can create the environment.

Anyone is welcome, but fair warning: if you don't speak Japanese, you'll have to muddle through and if you speak it fluently, you'll have to bear with those of us who don't. NO English spoken at this event please!

More people came than expected. Most were Japanese natives. Saw some old friends. Jason's Deli was very accomodating and some staff even study Japanese. Let's do it again.

Hawaii is better than this. Enjoy. See you when you get back.
