Would any of you be interested in learning about "obondate" the simplest form of Japanese Tea Ceremony using a tray? Ms. Eunkyung Na of the Asia Tea Society is willing to present this to a small meetup group--only four guests will fit in the Japanese tea room in her home. She lives in the Carrollwood area.
This ceremony involves sitting quietly and attentively, on your knees, for about 30-45 minutes.
The fee per person would probably be about $25 and include instruction, matcha tea, and real Japanese sweets sent from New York City.
Ms. Na currently teaches obondate to some of her club members on one Wednesday per month at 2 in the afternoon. If you are interested, let me know if you can do a weekday afternoon or if you'd need to do this on a weekend.
