July Nomikai - Murasaki Restaurant

//////THANK YOU DARIA////////

We are trying out a new venue thanks to Daria's kind contribution in our effort to find new Nomikai venue.  Since this is a restaurant than a bar, gving an accurate RSVP would be a courteous thing to do for the venue.  So I won't allow MAYBEs.  I will give the venue a call on the  Nomikai day on how many of us are attending.  So if you need to update the RSVP from Yes to No, please do it promptly.  Thanks!

    It was good but not enough space.I prefer the location at Carmines` because there is more space and easier to meet with everyone in the group.

      I think you liked being near the bar more and having ease to move around to different groups, instead of sitting at a table. Murasaki waa Very big. I think you would prefee sitting outside where it is really easy to move around. I would like to have us all outside on a nice day but the 2nd was too muggy and hot. Hopefully the weather will be better on the 16th :)

      Momiji is a nice place! However, as stated, it is very small. They have a nice, though very small, upstairs bar area that would be great for happy hours, but would only accommodate approximately 30 people. It's been a long time since I've been to a Nomikai so I don't know how many attend on average these days.

    Hey guys, since I'm not really needed now, I will leave everything to Heather. If you guys like it, we can meet at Murasaki every 2 weeks. The restaurant welcomes us. The person I spoke with is named Michael, so he will probably be the one interacting with you guys. I will still come, but I was going to come early, so that I arrive before you guys, but I think Heather can do it, so I will see you guys later on tonight at 8:30 or so.

    The reservation at Murasaki is confirmed for 24 people this evening. I probably won't be able to make it but Heather is going to be there. Have fun!!

      Yeah but we always made them stay after hours and for that they need to keep a certain level of staff. They were loosing money on us.

    I booked a location for us guys! I sent an email to everyone so you might want to check it but Murasaki is in DC near the Tenleytown and AU metro and they said they can take us. What do you guys think? I spoke to a manager and they confirmed us for July 2nd which is a Wednesday. Wednesdays seemed better for people.

    I would also prefer a DC location, preferably not too loud.

    Epicurean & co. Vann Ness Station on Red Line (4250 Conn. Ave--near the exit) has a large room. The International Conversation Group meets there. There is a bar and place to get food. It is not that busy in the evening. dt

    I second the Sushi Rock idea! They have happy hour until 7:30 and a huge variety of sake & Japanese alcohol.

    Sushi Rock in Clarendon is pretty great...

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
