START TIME IS 11:30AM TO COINCIDE WITH THE START OF THE PERFORMANCE CALENDAR.
SATURDAY-APR 30TH: It's one of the most SIGNIFICANT Japanese cultural events to take place in NYC annually. We're doing this as a group and we're going to do it BIG!
ALF-DAY AT THE BBG! COSTUMES ANYONE?!?

AS A GROUP WE CAN MAKE THIS A FREE-RANGE AFFAIR MEANING THAT WE DO WHAT WE WANT IN SMALLER GROUPS OR WITH OUR GUESTS/FRIENDS/FAMILY WHILE INTERSECTING FOR A FEW PERFORMANCES AND EVENTS.
LET US ATTEND THE FOLLOWING EVENTS AS A GROUP:
- 12:00 NOON TO 1:00PM TAIKO DRUMMING CONCERT (UNDER PERFORMANCES)
- 1:00pm TO 2:00pm SEASONAL HIGHLIGHTS TOUR (UNDER: TOURS & MORE)
- 3:30pm TO 4:30pm TRADITIONAL TEA CEREMONY (UNDER: TRADITIONAL & CONTEMPORARY ARTS)

I actually went later in the day, it was more fun than last year (last year went on a Sunday). Saturday event is a lot more fun. I didn't see anyone from the meetup, but the Festival was fun just to go and enjoy it. :)

Hmm won't be there till sometime after 12:30... and it will probably be impossible to find you guys for the different tours as I am not familiar with anyone. Some other time I suppose although I'll be there so if you recognize me from my pic, lol, say hi!

Lets all meet up at the Cherry Esplanade stage @ 11:30 before the Taiko Drumming concert. Then we can go on a tour given by the staff at 1pm. Details in the main body of the meetup have been changed.

Well, I'm going to be there around 12:30ish and I'm bringing a friend and her 5 year old daughter. Won't be able to get together afterwards but it would be nice to meet some other members while there.
