So, as mentioned yesterday, I'll be hosting the next study group so I thought I'd take matters in my own hands, send out the invite myself and relieve Béatrice of her responsibility for this time!
We haven't talked about a topic to work on for next time so, as I was chatting about it my teacher tonight, her husband came up with the best idea one could ever have for a discussion: FOOD!
We briefly talked about the concept of 居酒屋 (いざかや - izakaya) which are Japanese (obviously) pubs where you can have a drink and eat something quick at the same time, a bit similar to Spanish tapas.
For more information, please do refer to the wonder of my life... wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Izakaya
So, the idea would be to discuss about whatever concerns food/drinks. What's typical to your country, what do you like to eat, what's you favourite Japanese food, ingredient, whatevs!
If you like, we could even push it a little bit further and everyone could bring a little something easy that they like and could potentially be found in a Spanish tapas bar or a Japanese 居酒屋, or at French apéro, etc.
I myself like the idea of enjoying some nice little bites while talking about it, でしょう？
