about  Hanami お花見
The Japanese people continue the tradition of hanami, gathering in great numbers wherever the flowering trees are found. Thousands of people fill the parks to hold feasts under the flowering trees, and sometimes these parties go on until late at night. In more than half of Japan, the cherry blossoming days come at the same time of the beginning of school and work after vacation, and so welcoming parties are often opened with hanami. Usually, people go to the parks to keep the best places to celebrate hanami with friends, family, and company coworkers many hours or even days before.

Since we don't really know when the flowers will bloom, we still haven't made any plans on going again. IT might be a little too cold still for the flowers to bloom next Saturday.

I am sorry I would not make it because when I called the park today 11:00 AM , they said Cherry Blossom festival has been cancelled till next Sunday because of weather and trees have no bloom but buds. But I don't want any one to cancel their plan with the group for going there based on my input. I might go next week when trees are blooming, I might be all alone as one man group dancing under cherry blossom trees it would be spooky, Hope ghosts of flowers would join me.

The weather is good today! From 12:00 to around 12:30, if anyone is going, hopefully some of us can meet around the Pecan Grove (on the map, it's number 28)!

I live very close to Dallas Arboretum , it is beutiful place , excellent spots for pictures. When I was a teenager in Tokyo I think it was Ueno park where we used to go and join the festival. People were busy drinking, singing and, dancing and they have created such a scene that mind could not dream. So it is a nostalgia, I want to be there , wherever there is fun under sun and all my worries are far away. I would request all Americans and Japanese should come and dedicate day in your life this event. We need lots of Japanese people to display h ow to enjoy this day under the shadows of Cherry Blossom trees.. No excuses fun firs work later act like a king for a day or queen of the night

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
