Introduction

Hi everyone! I just want to stay connected with my Japanese heritage and hopefully be able to practice speaking Japanese. I look forward to meeting you all!

Why are you in Syracuse (area) if you don't mind me asking?

Visiting someone stationed at Fort Drum and I am in the process of receiving my commission as an Army nurse.

What is your interest in Japan? (If you are Japanese, you don't have to answer this one...?)

I just want to stay connected with my Japanese heritage and meet Japanese people.

What level of Japanese do you speak (beginner, intermediate, advance, non-speaker)

I speak Japanese fluently and I hope I still due. I have not had the opportunity to speak it since coming to the US.

Have you been to Japan? / Are you from Japan?

I am half-Japanese/half American but I was raised predominantly in Japan, mostly in the surrounding Tokyo and Okinawa area. My mother is originally from Shizuoka.
