eatPizza().then(drinkBeer).done(greatTalk) - Discussing Promises

Hey Everyone,

Please join us on Thursday for another awesome JavaScript / Node JS Meetup!  This week, we will have pizza, drinks and Daniel Parker from Evernote as the speaker.

Speaker: Daniel Parker

Description: Last year the development team I work on started using Promises to manage asynchronous calls in JavaScript. We wrote a simple implementation and refined it over time. This talk is about my experience using Promises. Starting from scratch, we'll write the same small implementation the team uses in production with features not covered in current proposals. We'll also discuss and compare other popular implementations including jQuery and Q.

What this talk is not:

- Rehash of the numerous blog posts about Promises

- Every detail in the Promises/A and Promises/A+ proposals

See you on Thursday!
