Backbone.js Course meetup tonight

More details here
Through a curriculum developed with CabForward, Cospace is now registering our Q[masked] month course in Backbone.js which will prepare you to build a modest application.

The introduction will provide you with a basic understanding of Backbone.js and why it is becoming so popular among web development shops today. Upon completion of the Fundamentals classes, you’ll be ready to intern and available to the Cospace Network as an intern, should you so desire, with an understanding of how Backbone and its JavaScript MVC architecture can enhance a web application and how single-page applications work. When you complete the Advanced class, you’ll learn how to write an entire intermediate-level Backbone application, with multiple Views, Templates, Events, and a Router, as well as how to update the entire single page application dynamically from server events and should be ready to join the workforce and call yourself an experienced Backbone.js developer.

The workshop will introduce you to a collaborative experience as the skills learned will be immediately applied to the development of an entire single-page application using Backbone. We will sit and actually write the code together in the application, letting you see how an experienced Backbone developer uses design patterns to make Backbone development quick and easy. Upon completion of the workshop, you will not only be able to code an application using Backbone, you’ll understand why the code is written the way it is, and be able to explain the design decisions to others who wish to learn Backbone.
