Come on out and enjoy some free food and drink while you listen to some of your fellow jQuery fans share their experiences with jQuery. And enter to win a jQuery book, courtesy of Accelebrate.

Speakers

Geoffrey Plitt, active standup comedian, former Google engineer, and CTO of comedy discovery engine Laffster.com discusses tips, tricks, and pitfalls his teams have learned while using technologies such as KnockoutJS, HeadJS, CoffeeScript, Slim, SASS, Middleman, various jQuery plugins, and Amazon Web Services. Plus he's funny.

Sponsors

Q is sponsoring a meetup space for us and providing food and drink.

Accelebrate is sponsoring a huge book giveaway! We'll be giving out over 20 jQuery books, courtesy of Accelebrate.

Parking

Parking is available at the Howard Hughes Promenade across the street for a reasonable rate. Avoid the parking structure behind 6080 Center Drive - it's very expensive.

Here's the list of Geoffrey's "weapons":

SLIM, SASS, CoffeeScript, CodeKit, Knockout, HeadJS, Proxino, PubNub, MixPanel, LiveReload, Codepen, WordMark, Waypoints, Zachleat BigText, FitVid.js, Skrollr

Feel free to double-check that I spelled these correctly!

Would it be possible for Goeffrey to post a list of the JQuery development "weapons" he talked about yesterday? I was listening and forgot to write down all 16 (?) in my notebook. I'm sure if we have the NAMES, we won't need links. We can look them up.

We can have a debate about whether or not the proper name for the core jQuery library is 'desktop' jQuery or not, but so far I don't have any speakers for jQuery mobile for this meetup (yet). The August meetup will deal with jQuery mobile.
