What book(s) have you read recently that would make a great basis for stimulating conversation?

Iscariot by Tosca Lee (I think that was the author.) It is a fictionalized account of the life of Judas Iscariot. The author makes you put yourself in his shoes. She must of done loads of research to write the book because it was filled with background info I've never heard before.

What's your favorite nonfiction book ever?

I'm drawing a blank right now - I've been reading a lot of children and youth writing in recent years because of my kids.

What's a novel that you read for a high school or college requirement that really stayed with you?

Not an assignment for my own schooling, but I read The Yearling to read it with my daughter. The detailed descriptions about backwoods, natural Florida often come to my mind when I go out in nature.

Introduction

I've been wanting to join a book club for some time and your upcoming choice looks interesting, so I'd like to join you. I am a stay-at-home mom of two teenagers.
