Looking for a show of interest (or lack thereof) for a July meeting. I'm definitely NOT setting one for August because experience tells me that nobody wants to/is able to come in that month.

We had a great June meeting, I posted a note about it on the group homepage.

I have tentatively scheduled a July meeting for 7 p.m. Tuesday July 16 at The Grape, St Johns Town Center. Before I formally set it and mail out a notice, I want an idea of how may potential attendees there may be, so if you think you will be in town and MIGHT want to come, please email to that effect. A yes is an expression of interest, not a commitment to come. That choice comes later if I set the meeting. If you know you won't be available, no need to respond, I will take silence as a lack of interest in that meeting.

I usually set up email for responses to go only to me, but in this instance I'm setting it up to go to the group as only the yesses will be heard from. I'll change it back for the next group mailing.

We will carry forward as many books from the June list (The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood,The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner, Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage: Stories By Alice Munro, Lost on Planet China: One Man's Attempt to Understand the World's Most Mystifying Nation by J. Maarten Troost, The Best American Essays of the Century Edited by Joyce Carol Oates, Bonk! The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex by Mary Roach) as there is continued interest in, and will dropp wallflowers and add some new titles next week if a meeting is set for July. Book or venue thoughts, suggestions? Please post them on the group website by clicking the "ideas" ligtbulb icon.

Thanks in advance if you are interested, and if you're not interested in July, see you after Labor Day!
