Who is should join?  People who like to read and (non-argumentatively!) discuss a variety of interesting thought provoking books. Women are welcome! Men are welcome!  People from any and all backgrounds, welcome! Whether you remember the Great Depression or you were born in the Clinton administration, if you're a grown-up who likes to meet and chat with  other adults with wide ranging interests, you are welcome. If you came to Jacksonville from any part of our big varied planet, or if you were born at the confluence of the St Johns River and the Atlantic Ocean and  think anything away from the First Coast is exotic travel, YOU ARE WELCOME.

We have a different format: each member chooses from a list books revolving around a theme, which changes every month. Selections skew toward non-fiction, but there is usually a fictional selection. Suggestions from members for themes or individual books are more than welcome.
