The September meeting…only two slots left, btw!

Hi to all!

I'm sending this to the general membership as opposed to picking sub groups who have or haven't replied for the meeting because something in this email  applies  to each group.

First, there are only two slots open for the meeting, which will be the first since June. If you want to go and haven't accepted yet, please do use the RSVP box on the page to accept ASAP.

If you have accepted, yay!  From the comments section, it looks as though The Spy Who Came in from the Cold is the single most popular choice, although of course that could change.

If you have accepted, part 2: Now and  the meeting gets closer, please review your calendar to make sure that nothing has come up with your work or family that will keep you from coming.  If you see a conflict, please take a minute to change your status to make room for someone else! Last minute cancellations are inevitable because there will be emergencies in life, but short of emergencies, please try not to be that person who cancels at the last minute.

If you go to the meeting  page to accept and find the slots have all been filled, PLEASE join the wait list. It is administered automatically so that you will be moved up and notified when somebody who has accepted cancels.  You can always quit the wait list if the time gets too close for you to read a book.

I will be scheduling meetings for October and November soon, and am always looking for themes to build a meeting around.  Not too narrow, not too broad, with general appeal and  with plenty of books to choose from is the description of a successful topic.
