Hi Anne,
I opologize but I have taken out on more than I can chew and will not be able to continue with your group. I went to meet up to find a place to remove myself as member but I could not find one. Please remove me from the list and I wish you luck with the group.Sounds like it is going to be very cool.

Hi to all. Here's the list for the August 9 meeting.
How Doctors Think by Jerome Groopman, M.D.;The Big Sort: How the Clustering of Like-Minded America Is Tearing Us Apart, by Bill Bishop; The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner;Chronicles: Volume One ,by Bob Dylan;Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwin; Bonk! The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex by Mary Roach;Strange Piece of Paradise, by Terri Jentz;A Voyage Long and Strange, by Tony Horowitz; This Republic of Suffering;by Drew Gilpin Faust. Remember, if you pick a book that's too long for your schedule to work with, it's fine to read what you can and discuss what you can in August, and the rest at a later meeting, or not at all. We're freestyle and that's how we roll!

Not the heartrending plea part: the only way this group works is if those who might come commit to a book early, RSVP, and indicate their book choices with their RSVPS. I will have read every book that I get at least two weeks' notice that a "yes" RSVP-er plans to read, so there will be somebody else there who's read your book, guaranteed, as long as you commit.

Questions? Email me directly at [address removed].

Anne

PS I tried to be correct and italicize the titles, but the meetup code writing system kept weirding out on me.
