Big Search & Marital Bliss with ElasticSearch

with Michael and Jannaee Sick

ElasticSearch is an emerging and stable tool for high scale search in near real-time. The talk will start with an introduction to ElasticSearch, a discussion of core features, and an overview of how ElasticSearch fits in the larger Big Data ecosystem. The talk will then focus on ElasticSearch's distribution model and how to achieve scale in data storage, core search, and aggregate data analytics. The talk will end with an overview and demonstration of a simple Feed Reader (a la GoogleReader) project developed by Michael and his wife Jannaee as a teaching tool.

If you can make it out, please RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
