Now that we're comfortably into the new year, let's get to know one another and welcome the new members! 

We'll get to know one another by discussing our interests, and help plan future meetings by discussing what we'd like to know more about. 

As a jumping off point for discussion, I'd like to hear your perspective on what appears to be the emerging title for this thing we do, "Data Science".  Decision Support, Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, Predictive Analytics, Statistics, Data Mining, Data Viz, Reporting...  So many names, so little clarity about our quickly growing and evolving field.  What do you CALL what you do?  Does it matter to you?  Do you expect it to matter more in the coming years of increasing need to convert data into information?

Spend a few moments thinking about what you might be willing to discuss before the group at a future meeting - it could be a tool, a technique, a language, some buzz you've heard about upcoming trends in the world of analytics.  No pressure to present before the group (so please don't let this keep you away!), but chances are, someone would like some insight into what you already know.

How's the date/time/location?  I have a Riverside bias, but if there's enough demand I'll be happy to move it to the Southside area (Tinseltown area? Seven Bridges? Mellow Mushroom?).  Bold Bean's awesome if you haven't been there yet.  If we decide to move it to a restaurant, shall we move the time to 6:00 instead?  Feedback please :)
