Which jazz styles do you want to hear?

All styles is All good. I suppose Bebop and Fusion is more of my interest though standards are the meat and potatoes for most listeners.

Do you sing, play an instrument or have one in the closet? Please tell us which.

I play drums and sing lead/backup. I have been fortunate to play jazz with Maynard Ferguson, Don Ellis, and Dizzy Gillespie during the college years. I have done recordings for Disney and station ID's at Starke Lake studio and spent 14 years in Nashville doing session work, award shows, touring Broadway shows, playing at Opryland, and gigging with big bands. I have played the College Park Jazz/Blues festival in the past. There are fantastic jazz musicians in this area and some I have had the pleasure of working with especially for Disney events. I look forward to going to jazz events and maybe playing at these events. Contact me.

Hey, I want to be a Jazz Cat! I go by TomTom, and play in the Les B More band and freelance. Playing at Disney, doing Nashville sessions, award shows, Opryland, along with free-lance work. I still love to play and listen to jazz. Count me in!!

What Tom N. is saying about this Meetup Group

I hope you get the word out on Blues Meetup (let them know it is a JAZZ jam not blues that they think is jazzy. Put the information in the Central Florida Meetup. Maybe we can get more participants. I know there are a ton of jammer students and grads that can play. I go to Taste jam on Mondays------------don't show unless you got it, it is serious. Only the talented survive.
