Goto www.balwinparkfl.com to see more. Also, I will be at the Vineyard Wine and Tappas bar on the corner of Conroy-Windermere and Apopka-Vineland in the Publix shopping plaza tomorrow from 8pm to 12am with a special guest Hungarian vocalist named Jenna K. The Vineyard has great food/ great owners and a world class wine selection to boot! This weather only lasts so long so get out and enjoy! Matt "the saxman" out!
Central Florida friends, fans and performers are gathering to hear livejazz. Whether it'straditional jazz, blues, New Orleans, big band swing, Gypsy, bebop, cool, Latin, soul jazz, funk or fusion, we support and encourage musicians who perform this endangered music. We agree with the United States Congress that jazz is "a rare and valuable national American treasure to which we should devote our attention, support and resources to make certain it is preserved, understood and promulgated."
Musicians are invited to become event organizers so they can post their gigs for the rest of the jazz community. We know that "playing" music is work -- the result of the musician's investment in lessons, learning materials, instruments and long hours of practice. We want you to get the word out to a self-selected group of jazz fans; better attendance at jazz gigs means more gigs for all of us. You may want to consider alternatives to club venues; as event organizers you could get upfront financial support from the members and know how many to expect at your event!
