Matt Brown is a blues and soul singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon.
After acting as the founder and front-man for popular Portland band, Ruby Hill, he has now stepped out on his own to pursue a flourishing solo career. Matt’s extraordinary vocals and moving lyrics are awe-inspiring and his live performance, whether solo or with a band, is an intimate and moving experience that stands head and shoulders above the crowd.
Matt Brown released his first solo EP, entitled, ‘Finish Lines’, in July 2011, 'Barcelona' in 2012, and will be releasing a new record in 2013 with his
new band, Matt Brown and the Connection.

He has opened for National acts such as Huey Lewis and the News,
Vicci Martinez, and Mycle Wastman off of NBC'S THE VOICE.

Matt Brown’s passion for music began as a child, matching melodies he heard playing from old cassettes his dad played. As he grew, he sang in secret, too shy to share his talent, and music remained a secret passion throughout his youth. During college, Matt fell in love with the guitar, and at the urging of his classmates, Brown started performing at open-mic nights and soon became inspired to write songs and continue to grow his skills as a guitarist and songwriter. After winning the 2007 Seattle University Battle of the Bands, he decided to follow his passion for making music, and started the band, Ruby Hill. After releasing two successful albums, radio play, and playing some of the Northwest’s best venues, and opened for national acts like Huey Lewis and the News. Matt has chosen to dedicate his life to his career in music.

Yes we were around the corner, no other place to perform as just in bar area. Why I snuck back to main room to hear some sounds. Should have joined me for a few listenings.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
