As some of you may know, I also organize Net2LA, an organization demystifying and remixing the web for social change in Los Angeles. For this month's Net2LA MeetUp, I'd like to extend an invitation to 20 Jelly LA members to attend since one of the two (if not both...) topics is very pertinent to coworking and indie-preneurs: Freelancers Union.
Lead by Althea Erickson, Senior Manager of Advocacy and Policy, and Carolyn Silveira, Communications Coordinator, Freelancers Union comes to California to discuss what Freelancers Union offers independent workers, challenges Freelancers in CA face, and Collaborate to Innovate: how we can organize and grow.
There will also be a talk on "Micro-blogs? I just figured out blogs..." by Net2LA Member, Christine, focused on the Webby Breakout of the Year, Twitter. Conversation will center around tools, tips, and best practices to make tweeting more efficient and productive for your business.
Hosted generously by Causecast, doors open at 7:30pm and talks will begin promptly at 7:45pm. Full agenda is outlined below. Light refreshments will be served. Members are encouraged to bring up to 1 friend (please RSVP responsibly as space is limited). No fee to attend, but donations will be accepted to help fund future MeetUps.

Bryan is one of the best Meetup leaders. Very professional, prepared, enthusiastic, caring, knowledgeable and nice too! Thanks Bryan for arranging this at a very cool office space (an easy 2 mile walk for me!). Namaste and see you soon!
