I'm in. I guess I wait for you to confirm the time you would like for me to come in for the lesson?

I'm so glad that you're interested in joining us for the Make-A-Ring Workshop next Saturday! There should be a great mix of people there and I always look forward to teaching new people how to make jewelry. The process is pretty straight forward--you select the type of metal you use (sheet or wire), cut your material to size, solder the ends together using an acetylene torch, then shape, sand, and polish (no problem, right?)! If you'd like to add a stone we have stones and bezels (mountings for the stones) available for another $10.
It's all pretty straightforward, but I do need some things from you before you arrive:
1) please wear appropriate clothing. Jewelry making can be a little messy, so your best white shirt/blouse may not be appropriat
2) Don't wear sandals or open-toed shoes...closed-toes are better for safety.
3) please don't wear clothes that have loose, dangle-y parts (wraps, etc) and if possible, have long hair tied back or braided ( I have hair bands if need be). Last thing we'd want is to have something drop into the path of the torch.
4) FINALLY! Please contact me at [address removed]--since there appears to be so much interest, we need to stagger start times so people are not waiting around. If you have a preferred start or end time, let my know. Start to finish it takes 2 hours (plus of minus) to make a basic ring (slightly longer if you add stones). IF YOU DO NOT EMAIL ME NOW, YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THERE IS AN EMPTY SLOT AMONGST PRE-SCHEDULED PEOPLE.
Ok, that's it...can't wait to meet you next weekend! -Brian Gibney
