Very informative presentation. Seems like there is a degree of gamesmanship in on-line resume submissions.

This is my first time and looking forward to it. Does anyone know what time the meetings normally go to? And wondering where the best place is to park... (since I'm new here) Thank you!

We usually run until around 7:30 with the resume presentation, since there are usually a lot of questions. Parking isn't too bad in the area. I usually find a spot on NW 15th, one block away.

Great article on how ATS (applicant tracking systems) parse out keywords in resumes. We might have to update our curriculum to incorporate smarter ATS!

I always thought posting resumes online just seemed so impersonal! Am I old fashioned or do you guys agree? Curious to see if there'll be tips on making one data blip in a sea of so many others stand out!

Yeah, resume is sort of a necessary evil of the job search. We discuss general best practices of resume writing and throw in a few fun tips here and there. One of them is to imbed a hidden text box in your resume so when submitted and scored by an applicant tracking system, your resume ranks at the top. JobGroup really stresses making in-person connections with hiring managers so the resume is just a formality and not something your qualifications for a position are based on.
